During an interview on CBS News, Australian singer and actress Kylie Minogue appeared to be overcome with emotion as she talked about her breast cancer scare.
The topic was brought up during her discussion about her new album Tension and her ongoing residency in Las Vegas.
Days before the start of her Australian leg of her showgirl tour in 2005, Minogue learned that she had breast cancer.
She underwent treatment, which included a lumpectomy and an 8-month cycle of chemotherapy.
During the interview, which was conducted 18 years after her initial diagnosis, she broke down as she talked about her experience.
She was asked by CBS News correspondent Seth Doane how she felt about her cancer scare.
She said that it was a trauma that she had to deal with, and that any trauma that she experiences resides within herself.
She stated that the experience of being diagnosed with cancer would stay with her for a long time.
Doane then asked her what she considered to be amazing about her cancer diagnosis, and she said that it was because she was so aware of her body.
In the past, she has also talked about how her fertility was affected by her illness at the age of 36.
In an interview conducted in 2019, she revealed that her cancer treatment prevented her from having children.
She said that her situation had a huge impact on her life, and she wondered what it would have been like if she had not been diagnosed.
She also stated that she doesn’t know if she has any regrets about her cancer diagnosis.
In 2010, she told the Sunday Times that she could see how her body was affected by the illness.
She noted that her face had changed due to her treatment.
She said that before she was diagnosed with cancer, she didn’t look like herself.
However, she noted that her face started to change due to the various treatments that she had undergone.
She said that the steroids and chemotherapy made her face look older.
