A young woman went viral after she shared her struggle with her first job, which highlighted the challenges that people face when they transition into a new profession.
The shift from being able to enjoy student life to a routine of working 9-to-5 is very demanding.
The workplace has drastically changed, making it harder to catch up on podcasts or skip meetings. Also, your friends who are working full-time are unlikely to have midday pints.

Brielle, who is currently on TikTok, discussed her struggles with transitioning into a new profession.
In her video, Brielle discussed her struggle with being able to balance her work and life. She cried as she talked about her first job, which she described as her first 9 to 5 position after college.
The challenges she faced included working in person and getting to the city.
Due to the high cost of living in the city, Brielle was not able to afford to live there. She had to catch a train at around 7.30 am, and she only returned home at around 6.15 pm. She claimed that she only had time for three things: eating dinner, going to sleep, and showering.
She also stated that she doesn’t have the energy to cook dinner. Her job didn’t bother her, as it required working in the office and an extended commute, which limited her time for other activities.
Brielle stated that she wished she could work remotely, as it would allow her to finish her studies at 5 in the evening and spend more time with her family.
Brielle talked about her frustration with not being able to spend time with her friends or her personal life. TikTokers supported her, emphasizing the outdated 40-hour workweek’s outdated nature.
However, some users called her a weak individual and referred to her as an irresponsible person. In response to these critics, she stated that society should reevaluate its norms.
According to her, a 40-hour workweek and an extended commute aren’t ideal for productivity.
She advocated for alternative work arrangements, particularly considering the emergence of remote work methods during the pandemic.
