A couple of people were found dead in a house southwest of Brisbane on Tuesday evening.
It’s believed that the deaths of the two individuals were a murder-suicide.
The couple, identified as Habibullah Bayat and Natasha Nibizi, were found at their home in Doolandella.
The police were called to the address after receiving a welfare call.
The police have not revealed the cause of the incident, as they are still trying to determine if it was a murder-suicide or domestic violence.
On Wednesday, they confirmed that the deaths were being investigated as suspicious. In a video posted on her social media accounts, Nibizi can be seen going on a trip with her partner a month before she died.
Some of the posts shared by Nibizi included a video of her dancing on her wedding day.
Other posts featured pictures of her celebrating with her friends. Following the police’s revelation about the incident, her friends have started to pay tribute to her. One of them posted a TikTok video of her dancing on her wedding day.
The police have urged the public to come forward with any information that could help solve the case. No arrests have been made, and no charges have yet been laid. Detective Michael Hogan said the police would not look for anyone else in connection with the incident.
Insp. Hogan said the police had identified two men who were staying at the house but were not at home when the bodies were found. He said they were not considered suspects and were not involved in the incident.
The two men are assisting the police with their investigations. Hogan would not provide details about the state of the bodies or the injuries sustained by the woman or the man. He also refused to speculate on the possibility of a weapon being used or found at the scene. A post-mortem on the couple will be conducted later on.
