In a video posted on YouTube, Henny Lim, a cabin crew member, explains the reason why flight attendants tend to sit on their hands while flying.

He said that the position is referred to as the “bracing position.”

According to the flight attendant, this position involves placing the seatbelt on securely, sitting upright, and keeping one’s hands and feet on the floor.

It aims to prevent the body from getting damaged during an emergency.

During this period, the cabin crew members are also preparing for an emergency situation.

They will undergo a silent review, where they will be briefed on everything from the location of the emergency equipment to the commands they will receive once the plane takes off.

The video has since gone viral, with over 32,000 views.

Many of the comments praised the flight attendant’s explanation.

Some said that preparing for a crash is very scary, but they also thanked her for sharing important information.
