A woman was charged with neglect after her three-year-old son, Elijah, went missing last week.

He was reportedly staying with a man in Two Rivers when he disappeared.

According to authorities, the child’s mother reportedly sent him there.

Since the search for the child has not been able to find him, his mother, Katrina Baur, 31, was charged with neglect.

She was additionally charged with two counts of obstruction of an officer.

Jesse Vang, the man who was staying with Elijah, was charged with child neglect.

He was held on a cash bond of $38,000. Baur and Vang were scheduled to appear in court on March 7.

According to LaBre, Baur placed her son with Vang for disciplinary reasons.

She was not in Two Rivers during the time of Elijah’s disappearance. Baur stated that she left her son with Vang on February 12, as she wanted him to teach him how to be a man.

According to a criminal complaint, Baur stated that she intended to pick up her son on February 23.

On February 20, Vang reported Elijah missing. He told the police that the child was with him when he fell asleep, and he woke up to find the boy missing.

According to the complaint, Vang claimed that he had been trying to help the child’s behavior by having a relationship with Bauer.
