Edwina Bartholomew, who is a news presenter for Sunrise, revealed in her column for Stellar magazine that she and her husband, Neil, who is a journalist, sleep in separate rooms.
She also noted that they have taken things to the next step and have separate homes during the week.
In her column, she revealed that she only talked about it once, and the reaction was “extraordinary.”
She also said that hundreds of women have confessed that they do the same thing.
She noted that snoring can send people packing, while others prefer having a sanctuary with throw pillows.
Our family has gone to the next level. Neil lives in the country with their dog, while I live in the city with our kids. Each weekend, they go back and forth between their homes.
Like Cameron Diaz, Bartholomew does not share a bedroom with Good Charlotte’s Benji Madden.
During a December podcast, Diaz said that this unconventional arrangement should be considered for married couples. She noted that she and her husband own their own home, and she would happily sleep in it.
Diaz said that she and her husband have a bedroom in the middle, which they can use for their relations. Bartholomew noted that this setup can help strengthen their relationships. She and her husband have two children, Thomas, 2, and Molly, 4.
According to her, it feels like a reunion every time she and her husband come together. She noted that the feeling of being in love can be heightened by the intimacy of their sleeping arrangements. In her February 2023 column, she opened up about her unusual setup.
In her column, Bartholomew noted that she and her husband started experimenting with having separate rooms after she would get up for work. She said that it worked well for them as it allowed her to get some quality sleep while her husband was still tired.
