Following a major new move by Virgin Australia, it has proposed to start offering pet-friendly flights within Australia.

The airline noted that it is currently in talks with the country’s regulatory body about the possibility of launching the service.

According to the company’s CEO, it has been revealed that over 70 percent of its customers would like to have their pets on board.

To cater to the needs of pet owners, the service will only be available for small cats and dogs.

According to Hrdlicka, the animals will have to fit into a designated space underneath the seat.

The animals will have to be in a pre-designated carrier and will be placed in the designated row for the flight.

Hrdlicka also noted that the people who don’t want to be close to the animal will not be affected by the new service.

In a survey conducted by the airline, almost 70% of Australian pet owners said they would like to travel with their pets in the cabin.

The company’s decision to start offering pet-friendly flights came after a survey conducted in 2021 revealed that 85 percent of the respondents supported the idea.
