During her trip to Australia, Ambar Driscoll from London said that she noticed the most annoying thing about the country is that cafes are usually closed early.
She said she usually went to a cafe at around 3 or 4 pm to get a treat.

In Australia, all cafes and coffee shops are usually closed at around 2 pm.
Ambar Driscoll said that she found it strange that these establishments would close at that time of the day, as it is her ideal time to go and sit at a cafe.
Australians then took to the comments section to explain to her that it was because they believed that it was not worth the effort to staff the establishments at that time of the day.
One worker noted that she was not able to work past 2 pm because she had been there since 5.30 am.
Others said that it was because the culture of coffee in the country dictates that it should be opened at 6 am. Some people claimed that afternoon coffee is wild, and that everyone knew that cafes only remain open for brunches and mornings.
“Isn’t that the point?” one person asked. Others noted that Australians have become accustomed to pubs being open by the afternoon.
