TV host Carrie Bickmore revealed that her friend Donna Nottage, who was 38 years old, died due to brain cancer.

The former Project host posted a touching tribute to her friend on Instagram, sharing memories of Nottage, including her participation in the Point To Pinnacle recreational walk while she was fighting the disease.

In her post, Bickmore wrote that she was devastated to learn that the search for a cure for Nottage’s illness could not be carried out in time.

She described her as a “ray of sunshine” who was always willing to do whatever it took to see the color in her life. Nottage climbed the Point To Pinnacle with Bickmore earlier this year.

According to Bickmore, Nottage fought against the illness in honor of her husband, Sean, and their two sons, Reeve and Huxley.

The radio personality also noted that she was aware of the devastating effects of brain cancer.

She lost her husband, Greg Lange, to the disease in 2011.

Bickmore and Lange got married in 2001, five years after he was diagnosed with cancer.

They were able to support him through his treatments until he passed away in 2010.

They also have a son named Oliver, who was born in 2007, together.
