A family was outraged after they were told that they had to buy a $180 ticket to attend a Pink concert in Sydney with their infant.
According to a man from Sydney, he asked the venue through Messenger if his sister could bring her baby with her, as only small bags are allowed.
According to the ticketholder, they were all at the Summer Carnival concert of Pop star Ariana Grande.
Since they didn’t have anyone else to look after the newborn child, they asked the venue’s staff about the baby’s bag. The man was expecting a response.
In his message, the man asked if they could bring a diaper bag.
The venue’s staff told him that they were only allowed to bring small bags, and everyone who wanted to enter the event had to have a ticket.
When the man said that it was “disgraceful” that they had to purchase a ticket for a baby, Accor doubled down, claiming that everyone should have a ticket.
A spokesperson for the venue said that the age policy was set by the promoter.
However, after the man contacted 7NEWS.com.au, the venue changed its policy.
They now allow babies to enter the event free of charge. The family’s seats have also been upgraded.
The ticketholder said that the venue accommodated their concerns and moved their tickets closer to the event. They also provided them with better parking spaces.
