On March 8, it was 10 years since Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 mysteriously disappeared.
The aircraft was carrying 239 passengers and crew members when it went missing.
However, a search conducted by a US company Ocean Infinity in the Indian Ocean did not find traces of the aircraft.
In an interview with 60 Minutes, Tony Romeo, the chief executive officer of Deep Sea Vision said that his company could eventually solve the MH370 mystery.
The company is currently planning to deploy one of its underwater drone units, known as the Hugin6000, to search for the aircraft.
According to Mr Romeo, the drone flies at a speed of up to 50 meters above the seafloor and continuously looks for objects that it can see.
It then retrieves data from the surface using a thumb drive. The company made headlines earlier this year after it claimed to have found Amelia Earhart’s plane in the Pacific Ocean.
According to Mr Romeo, his company has proved its capabilities by using cutting-edge technology and taking on challenging environmental conditions.
He also noted that the government of Malaysia is expected to give its approval for Deep Sea Vision’s proposal to conduct a search operation for MH370.
He said that he believes the country’s officials are still interested in finding answers regarding the incident
