According to a source, Meghan Markle is trying to help her estranged sister-in-law, Catherine, amid the ongoing rumors about her well-being due to the royal photoshopping incident.
Tom Quinn, the author of “Scandals of the Royal Palaces,” revealed that Meghan has been reaching out to the palace multiple times in an attempt to keep in touch with her sister-in-law, Kate, who is recovering from a serious abdominal surgery.
Quinn claimed that the Duchess is reportedly worried about her sibling’s well-being.
Since they moved to California in 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan have not been in communication with Prince William and Kate.
A source close to the royal family noted that it’s unlikely that Kate would start a reconciliation process with her estranged sister-in law.
Jennie Bond, a royal expert, said that it’s unlikely that the Duchess would consider Meghan as a qualified and appropriate person to help her.
At this time, Kate is focused on her mental and physical health.
According to Bond, if Meghan wants to send flowers or other gifts to the princess, Kate would likely respond in kind.
Quinn also stated that the Duchess would likely give Meghan her olive branches as she doesn’t want to be seen rejecting her overtures.
However, this gesture might not be enough to help the strained relationship between the two.
The palace reportedly thinks that if Meghan extends an olive branch, it will only bring more wounds into the open.
