The Cockney Rebel guitarist and singer Steve Harley, who was best known for his 1975 hit “Make Me Smile,” died on Sunday at the age of 73.
According to his family, he died at his home in Suffolk after battling cancer.
Despite his illness, Harley was still touring.
The family of Steve said in a statement that he will be greatly missed by his fans.
They also stated that he died peacefully at home. They added that he was surrounded by his family when he died.
His home was full of laughter and sounds from his four grandkids.
In February, his management announced that due to his ongoing treatment, he could not perform in 2024.
In a statement, his management thanked his fans for their support.
