A family pet was killed by two aggressive dogs that broke into their yard in Perth.
The incident was not the first time these animals had killed a dog.
On Saturday, Samar and her daughter were awoken by the terrifying sounds of their Pomeranian named Rocco being attacked by two pit bulls.
They tried to save him, but they could not save him.
She said that her daughter monitored everything. Rocco, a Pomeranian, had only been with the family for two weeks.
He brought happiness to the family, especially her four and eight-year-old daughters.
Samar said it was an unbearable experience to tell her daughters about the death of their pet.
She said it put a strain on her to tell them that they couldn’t do anything. After consoling her daughter, she told her that Rocco was still alive.
The two pit bulls that killed Rocco were owned by a backyard breeder. They had escaped from their yard two days earlier.
The resident of the area where they attacked said the animals threw themselves against her car’s window when she tried to flee.
According to Tarryn, the pit bulls were incredibly vicious. She said they started barking and growling for around two hours.
Tarryn then called the police, but they didn’t arrive until the animals had escaped.
Tarryn said that the police officers told her that they had a chance to get inside. She then ran inside, but one of the pit bulls chased her.
The owner of the dogs, Hercules and Luna, said that he had no idea that something like this would happen.
He said that it wasn’t the first time the pit bulls had killed a dog. In a previous incident, they escaped from their yard and mauled a Chihuahua owned by a neighbor.
The two pit bulls, Hercules and Luna, have been taken by the WA Rangers.
Their fate is still unclear as an investigation is carried out. Some residents believe that if the rangers had acted sooner, Rocco might still be alive.
The police in WA were asked to comment, but they redirected the query to the local council and the Rangers.
