A gardener was charged with murder after an incident that happened north of Brisbane this morning.
Sue, who is in her 70s, was fighting for her life after suffering serious head injuries.
Her husband, Nick, was found with a head injury at their home in Bramston Court.
The incident resulted in the death of Mr. Reeves. His wife was taken to the hospital, where she is currently in a critical condition.
A man from Beachmere was later apprehended and charged with attempted murder and murder.
The police noted that this was not a case of domestic violence.
It’s widely believed that the man was hired by the couple’s neighbor. He was sent to the house after their regular contractor was not available.
The police are now trying to determine if the suspect used a weapon or equipment during the attack.

Hutchings said that he helped the paramedics put Sue on a gurney after the police found her.
It’s believed that other residents also assisted the officers after the welfare check was carried out.
Harbison said that the police officers were receiving support from the community.
First responders are expected to seek help from the community to ensure that the victims are okay.
Forensic teams and detectives are also looking into the incident. The police are asking the public to come forward if they were in the area between 9 and 9.50 am and recorded dashcam footage.
