In a statement, Leila and Danny Abdallah said they have welcomed a new daughter into their family.

They also thanked the man who killed their three children in a car crash in 2020 for his good wishes.

At that time, the driver was under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

The children’s cousin, 11-year-old Veronique Sakr, died in the accident.

According to Mr. Abdallah, he had developed a relationship with the driver, Samuel Davidson. He then called him after the baby girl was born on April 20.

There are no winners in any tragedy, so the family must do whatever it takes to move forward and find joy in spite of the pain. Mr. Abdallah said that after receiving a call from Samuel’s family, he thanked them for their congratulations. The next day, the driver, who was in jail, called Mr. and told him that he was thinking about them and their new daughter.

Last year, the couple welcomed another daughter named Selina. Ms. Abdallah said she was surprised by her pregnancy, as she had dreamt of Angelina and Antony in the same week. She noted that her older children, Liana, Michael, and Alex, have become more caring and understanding since the accident. The family is yet to name their new addition.

They have become known as pillars of forgiveness after establishing the i4Give day foundation, which aims to increase community forgiveness. In 2020, a horrific car crash in Australia killed four individuals. The driver, Samuel Davidson, was charged with various offenses and pleaded guilty to manslaughter.

Davidson was driving at a high speed when he crashed into the group of kids. He was initially sentenced to spend 28 years in prison. His sentence was then reduced by the NSW Criminal Appeal Court in 2022. The court ruled that his original sentence was too harsh.

Even though the incident deeply affected the family, the Abdallahs forgave Davidson. He expressed his gratitude to the family and said he was motivated to change his behavior. In an interview with Christian Lives Matter, Mr. Abdallah said a homeless individual who knew the family’s spiritual adviser, Father Robert Pio, contacted the priest and asked to meet the driver.

After a homeless individual contacted Father Pio, another individual reportedly reached out and told the priest that the driver who ran over the kids was in custody. Mr. Abdallah noted that this individual was speaking with Father Robert, who was his spiritual father.

After meeting the Abdallahs, Father Robert told him that he knew them and that he would visit them regularly. Then, he said that he would like to convert Davidson into a Maronite Catholic. Mr. Abdallah, who is a Maronite Catholic himself said that he was surprised by Davidson’s conversion.

I was stunned by the visit. According to Mr. Abdallah, he was surprised by the visit. Upon meeting the priest, Davidson confessed his sins and thanked the family for their forgiveness. He also said that the world should have hated him, but due to their forgiveness, he was able to see things differently.
