In 2011, Australian actress Rebel Wilson claimed that she auditioned for the part of Megan in the movie Bridesmaids, but she was denied because McCarthy was friends with Paul Feig, who directed the film.
This week, it was reported that Wilson claimed that she auditioned for the part of Melissa McCarthy in the movie Bridesmaids.
She said that she was denied because McCarthy was friends with the film’s director.
An audition is always good when it lasts for an hour.
After getting the call, she exclaimed that she had the part, but the casting directors said that she looked exactly like Matt Lucas, who was already in the movie.
They then told her that she would have to play the part of his sister.
Even though she was told that she didn’t have a role in the movie, Wilson said she was still excited about the role because it was the part that she wanted.
Despite the snub, she said it helped launch her career in Hollywood. She went on to earn an infamous role in the film “Pitch Perfect.”
The comments by the star have been the subject of much controversy following the release of her memoir, Rebel Rising, last month.
It was initially released in New Zealand and Australia with a small edit.
The book was delayed due to a legal dispute between Wilson and Sacha Baron Cohen.
