The Block New Zealand has been canceled ahead of its 11th season. The decision was made due to a restructuring at Warner Bros.

Discovery, which produces the show and is the owner of the Three network, which broadcasts it in the country.

Several properties had already been purchased by the network, and filming for the upcoming season will begin in the Bay of Browns.

Following the series’ disastrous finale in 2022, which led to its postponement in 2023, the housing market in the region has made it difficult for the producers to make the show financially viable.

A spokesperson for WBD stated that the company would no longer be able to produce fully funded shows in the country.

Existing sponsors of the show have been informed that they would receive first right of renewal.

Mark Richardson has been the host of the show since it debuted in 2012. He revealed that he had already accepted the show’s fate.

He noted that he had already moved on from the show when he learned about its cancellation a year ago.

The final auction of the series in 2022 ended disastrously, with the winning couple, Ben Speedy and Chloe Hes, earning a record-low of $NZD4000.

The reserve price of the property was set at $NZD1.141 million. The home eventually sold for $NZD1.145 million. While the winning couple received a cash prize of $NZD100,000, the second place couple, Maree and James, made only $NZD100 after their house sold.

The Block Australia has been a successful show in the country, with the most recent season of the show ending with a record-breaking profit. The winning couple, Gian and Steph, made a total profit of over $1.65 million.

The lowest-scoring couple in the most recent season was the infamous couple, Brad and Kristy, who made only $65,000. In 2015, the show’s producers left the two couples devastated after they failed to earn a single cent. The 20th season of the show has already started filming on Phillip Island, which is about two hours away from Melbourne.
