In Australia, Woolworths, has announced that it would reduce the prices of hundreds of winter essentials by up to 20% until August 31.
The company noted that this is part of its regular “Prices Dropped for Winter” campaign, which has been happening annually for several years now.
The promotion, which runs from May 29 to August 27, 2024, will feature various fresh proteins.
Some of these include beef chuck steak and corned beef silverside, which have seen their prices drop to their lowest levels since 2020.
Whole chickens that have been approved by the RSPCA are also being offered at discounted rates.
Paul Harker, the chief commercial officer of Woolworths supermarkets, said that the company is committed to helping its customers with their budget needs during the winter season.
He noted that the prices of certain products would be dropped to give customers a better idea of what they can expect to spend.
The company also offers its members with special offers and Everyday Low Price programs.
Through its Odd Bunch promotion, customers can avail of a 20% discount on fruits and vegetables.
They can also save 30% by choosing the company’s own products instead of those from other brands.
The company uses online tools and marketing materials to improve the shopping experience.
