Sydney lawyer Chloe Taylor, 34, was at the peak of her professional career until she decided to retire.

She had been a lawyer for six years and was earning around $150,000 to $200,000 annually, but she didn’t feel passionate about her work.

Even though it was a good job, she wasn’t enjoying it. She said her frustrations with her work were affecting everything else in her life.

Some of the things that usually brought her joy, such as going for a morning swim, were no longer enjoyable.

Not being able to enjoy work was affecting her well-being. She noted that she was getting sick a lot and was very rundown.

She said that she took some time to figure out what needed to change, and it had taken her a long time to make the leap.

She surprised her friends and family when she told them that she was quitting her career.

Her parents were worried because they had worked so hard for her to become a lawyer.

There were various options open to her, and she had toyed with the idea of working in another field.

Ultimately, she decided that it was time to take a break from her career.

She took a break from law to reevaluate what she wanted to do with her career.

One of the most important advantages of being a lawyer is that you can take the skills that you learn and apply them to other fields.

According to the Bureau of Statistics of Australia, in 2023, 1.3 million people in the country changed careers.

It was the highest number of such occurrences since 2012.
