Iconic Australian singer John Farnham was seen in a celebratory mood as he attended his son’s wedding earlier this year.
In an Instagram post, his son Rob revealed that the musician was in good spirits as he made his first public appearance following his cancer surgery in 2022.
In the post, Rob shared a beautiful tribute to his wife Melissa, who he said he was very happy to be married to.
He also stated that he was looking forward to seeing what the future holds for the couple.
The couple’s wedding took place at the Hopewood House in Bowral, NSW.
In one of the photos, John is seen posing next to Rob while holding his wife Jill’s hand.
The 74-year-old musician’s fans were thrilled to see him back after he went through a very public health battle.
One of the fans commented on the photo and said that it was very nice to see John, who is known for his work as a singer and songwriter.
He was recently diagnosed with throat cancer. He underwent a 12-hour surgery in August 2022 to remove his cancerous tumor.
Following the operation, John underwent various medical procedures.
These included a re-constructive plastic procedure and several weeks of radiation therapy.
In July last year, John revealed that he was able to receive the all-clear from his doctors.
He said that he was feeling very lucky and that he has lost count of how many procedures he has undergone since his first surgery.
Although he didn’t specify how many procedures he has undergone, John noted that there have been a few.
He is now back home and is enjoying his life.
He is surrounded by his beautiful wife Jill, his sons Rob and James, and his miniature Schnauzer, Edmund.
