A man reportedly died after he was hit by an oncoming vehicle in Sydney’s west on Thursday morning.
The incident, which police describe as a road rage attack, happened on Jersey Road at Blackett.
The man, who was 27 years old, was tended to by paramedics before he died at the scene.
Initially, police identified the victim as a pedestrian wearing reflective clothing.
Acting Inspector Shane Ranee of the NSW Police said that the man may have been traveling in a car when he was attacked.
According to Ranee, the man got out of his car after getting threatened by the vehicle, and the words were directed at him.
The crime scene was described by the police as a devastating incident.
He urged the people who were involved in the incident to come forward and hand themselves in.
The police noted that the ute was a white utility vehicle with a black canopy and a metal tray.
It was also equipped with a black toolbox. The investigations are currently under way.
