The bodies of an elderly couple were discovered in a Victorian beauty area. It’s believed that the pair committed suicide by shooting themselves. Their names are Kaye Salisbury and Bart Wissink.

The bodies of the couple were discovered on a walking track near a beach in The Otways, which is about 230 kilometers south of Melbourne.

A gun was also recovered from the scene. According to the Herald Sun, there are indications that the two may have agreed to end their lives together.

The gun used by the couple was reportedly licensed to Mr Wissink.

They split their time between Ms Salisbury’s house in Windsor in Melbourne’s inner city and Mr Wissink’s property in Buckley, which is close to Geelong.

Two cars were also found close to where the bodies were discovered, which suggests that the pair might have traveled to Wreck Beach.

Although Mr Wissink was originally from South Africa, he resided in Australia for a long time.

He and his wife gave to various arts organizations in the state, such as the Victorian Opera and the National Gallery.

According to Scott Worland, who was a shearer for the couple, they were both simple and plain.

According to a Herald Sun report, Mr Wissink was described as a kind and gentle person.

His neighbor said that he and his wife would always wave at the people passing by their property.

Ron Condon, an alpaca farmer, said that it’s heartbreaking to see something go wrong with the couple.

The farm has been ploughed, and the pasture has grown as if the couple were preparing for their usual activities.

The police noted that they are not treating the deaths of the couple as suspicious. A report will then be submitted to the coroner.
