The community and the family of William Jones are currently going through a difficult time following his sudden death.

It’s believed that the teenager contracted the flu after he reportedly had a sore throat and nose a couple of days earlier.

On June 11, Rebecca Rollason called the doctor after her son started feeling sick. She was told that William had the flu.

The doctor then told her to give him fluids and check back the following day if she was still worried.

However, the next morning, William didn’t wake up.

The news of William’s death has left Rollason and her family in a state of shock.

They don’t understand how something like this could happen to a child who was so healthy.

According to a Givealittle page created by Amanda Amies, William was a popular student and musician at Upper Hutt College.

Through the campaign, the funds will be used to help William’s family, including Rollason, while they go through the grieving process.

Some of the donations included notes from other parents who had lost children to the flu.

One person said she understood how the family is going through a difficult time.

She expressed her condolences and said it was the worst nightmare of any parent.
