A great-grandmother from Western Australia fought back against an intruder who broke into her house and punched her. The suspect, who was 18 years old, was eventually apprehended by a dog squad after he ran away with a bag filled with items.

Stella was asleep at her home in Mandurah, which is about an hour south of Perth.

According to Stella, the intruder kept threatening her and demanding that she hand over her jewelry.

When she refused, he followed her into her bedroom and punched her. The 85-year-old great-grandmother was bleeding heavily from the wounds on her face.

She then used a long-handled brush to hit the intruder, who then decided to run away.

The police chased the suspect, who was found under a vehicle. He was apprehended a few houses away from where Stella was attacked.

About five hours earlier, a teen broke into Stella’s home and stole her belongings. He then ran away.

Stella said that she was disappointed by the incident and promised to install security measures in her home.

The suspect, who was from Pinjarra, was charged with various offenses.

Among the items he was found with were stolen property and a gun that was not licensed.
