The bodies of a woman and a man were discovered in the Maribyrinong River in Melbourne on Sunday.
According to the Victoria Police, a member of public spotted the body of a man in the water near the Saltriver Place in the Footscray suburb at around 9 am.
A couple of minutes later, another body was found in the river near Smithfield Rd in the city.
The identities of the two bodies have not been established.
The police are trying to determine if the deaths are suspicious.
