A customer of a prominent Melbourne establishment called out the poor quality of the chicken parma she ordered at The Hawthorn Hotel.

She was not impressed by the portion that she ordered. The chicken parma, which had been described as having a hand-crumbed chicken, was reportedly served with house salad and fries.

The customer, who identified herself as Chloe, asked her followers to share their opinion of the salad, which she described as being very poor.

She then showed the portion and said that if she wanted to have just lettuce, she would go to Woolworths.

The salad appeared to have pickled onion and pieces of Cos lettuce.

Strong opinions were expressed about the side salad by users of social media.

One person called it an insult to the salad, while another claimed that they never actually eat one of those prepared with pub meals.

One person went into the pub’s corner and asked the establishment not to change the menu item.

Another person stated that they had a similar experience with the food at the Hawthorn Hotel on Friday.

Some claimed that the poor quality of the side salads in pubs across the country is the reason why people don’t eat them with their meals
