During an interview with Norah O’Donnell on Tuesday, Eric Trump said his father is in good spirits and is hearing fine.
The former president was shot by a gunman while he was holding a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
The gunman, who was identified as Thomas Crooks, killed one person and injured two others.
Trump later posted a message on his social media page, where he noted that a bullet had pierced his right ear.
He said he felt the bullet hitting his skin as he heard the shots. “I immediately knew something was wrong,” he added.

Jackson had to replace the former president’s dressing during a flight to Cleveland on Sunday.
According to the New York Times, he had replaced the bandage because it had gotten too thick.
Some people attending the Republican National Convention wore ear bandages to support the former president.
