Andrew O’Keefe, the former host of the television program Deal or No Deal, was arrested on Wednesday afternoon after he failed to appear in court for a bail violation.
He was taken into custody after he was found at a home in Vaudres.
According to police, officers from the Eastern Suburbs Police Command arrested a man at around 1 pm.
It is alleged that the man, who was not identified, was violating his bail conditions when he was apprehended.
He was then taken to the police station and will appear in court on Thursday to have the bail conditions re-established.
O’Keefe had been granted bail in July after being charged with violating an apprehended violence restraining order and intimidation.
O’Keefe reportedly tested positive for drugs after returning a roadside test.
News Corp Australia reported that he claimed in court that there was a change in plans regarding an intimidation plot.
He then allegedly breached his bail by contacting the person he was supposed to be meeting with.
He was apprehended at his Eastern Suburbs residence and taken to the Waverley Police Station.
He is expected to appear in court on Wednesday afternoon.
