A skydiving company in NSW, Australia, noted that it’s too early to determine the exact cause of the tragic incident that claimed the life of a father of six.

The man, identified as Roger Goltz, was skydiving with his son on Saturday.

According to his wife, Kelly, the 48-year-old man was too low and fast during the jump due to the wind.

He then got caught in the clouds and fell to the ground at an incorrect angle. Kai, his son, witnessed the incident but didn’t realize what happened.

According to Kelly, her son only realized that his father had fallen after his shoe hit the ground. Roger then suffered a serious head injury and was knocked unconscious.

He was then airlifted to Canberra, where he later died. Kelly noted that it was a freak accident.

Although the circumstances surrounding the incident are still being investigated, Skydive Oz in the Moruya region noted that Roger’s parachute functioned normally and opened.

Paul Smith, the company’s chief instructor, said that safety is always his top priority at all times.

He added that the skydiving community in the area is devastated by the incident. Despite the level of experience that the participants have, Smith noted that the facility does everything it can to make the experience as safe as possible.

Stephen Porter, the CEO of the APF, expressed his gratitude to the emergency services personnel and first responders who attended to Roger before he was airlifted to Canberra.

He noted that the organization will continue to work with the authorities to improve the safety procedures for skydiving in Australia.

Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Roger at this difficult time.

A training officer from the company arrived at the Moruya Heads on Saturday to investigate the incident.

According to Kelly, Roger was a loving father who always had a passion for adventure.

She said that the children will miss their father. He was a great father who would do anything for them.

Following the tragic incident, Kelly noted that the family might lose their home in Jervis Bay.

A Gofundme page has been set up to help the family. The family has reportedly been left with an irreplaceable void in their hearts.
