A bodybuilder from Perth, Australia, died after spending 15 hours in a shower without anyone noticing him.
The man, who was named as 33-year-old Giuliano Pirone, suffered a brain injury.
He collapsed on August 20 while working out at a gym in Wanneroo.
His family reported him missing after they failed to contact him.
At around 10:30 pm, the police were able to find him at the gym after pinging his phone.
They then found him unresponsive on the floor.
The police performed CPR until the paramedics arrived.
An MRI revealed that Mr. Pirone had lost consciousness.
According to his mother, Daniela, he would never be able to look at the stars again.
His family was told that he might have suffered a seizure.
According to doctors, his blood sugar levels dropped dramatically.
The family of Mr. Pirone is trying to find out how he had been in the shower for such a long time without anyone noticing.
He reportedly fell and hit his head on the floor, and no one noticed him.
His car was parked near the entrance of the gym, and the showers were about 20 meters away from the reception area.
According to his family, they are baffled by the lack of attention given the facility’s schedule, which states that there are staff members available during the day.
According to Ms Pirone, the footage captured him falling ill while he was on the treadmill and going to the showers.
She claims that he must have locked himself in the shower and suddenly turned on the cold water before collapsing.
She stated that all gyms should be staffed and that there should be frequent checks of the showers and bathrooms.
