A magnitude 3.2 earthquake occurred early this morning hours of Tuesday in northern NSW.

It was felt by multiple residents of the region who reported the tremor. 

Geoscience Australia reported that the earthquake occurred at Barraba, which is around 10 kilometers from Armidale.

There were no reports of injuries or major property damage.

Each year, around a hundred strong earthquakes occur in the state.
