Almost two years after having his throat removed for cancer, John Farnham is ready to share his voice once more.
The Australian singer, who is 74 years old now, will narrate an audiobook version of his memoir, which will be released later this year.
Hachette Australia released a teaser of the audiobook today, and it features a voice that is different from the one that fans have come to expect from the Australian singer.
In the memoir, Farnham talks about how he took a long time to write it due to his dislike of talking about himself.
Although he is an egomaniac, Farnham says that he doesn’t enjoy dredging up his past.
He adds that he has a hard time talking about himself due to how he has never been open about his private life.
In August 2022, he announced that he was going to have his throat removed due to cancer.
Since then, he has remained relatively quiet.
On the same day, he underwent a major surgery, which involved the reconstruction of his jaw.
A year later, he told his fans that he was cancer-free.
He also revealed that he had undergone several more procedures.
In June this year, he was spotted at his son Rob’s wedding.
His sons, James and Rob, have kept Farnham’s fans informed about his health condition.
