A shocking incident occurred on Thursday afternoon when a Tesla collided with a guard rail and exploded. The accident led to the death of four individuals.
The deceased were identified as Ketaba, Nil Gohil, Digvijay Patel, and Jairaj Sisodia. They were traveling from Gujarat.
The incident occurred at around 12.15 am when the Tesla Model S veered off the road and hit a guard rail. The car then exploded following the collision.
The driver and three of his passengers died at the scene, while the fourth survived and was rescued from the burning vehicle.
According to Keith Barrow, who was a foreman at the QM environmental company, they heard the screeching tires and the impact before the car exploded.
He then saw flames 30 feet high. He then made it to the scene of the accident a few minutes later along with several other cars.
People tried to save the passengers and driver of the burning vehicle by breaking its windows.
After seeing the smoke, Rick Harper, who was a nearby passerby, stopped to help. He said he could hear people calling for help from inside the burning vehicle.
Unfortunately, he was not able to save the passengers and the driver. However, he was able to pull one of the survivors out of the burning car.
He said he initially took a couple of swings at the window. He then passed the bar to another man, who managed to get the window out.
Although he was happy to see the young woman escape the burning car, he was not aware of the four people who were trapped inside.
The young woman, who was the only survivor, did not provide any details about the incident after she was rescued. According to Harper, she seemed scared and likely would not be able to talk. Fire and Police officials stated that the fire was most likely caused by the Tesla’s battery.
