The body of a young boy believed to be 11-years-old was found on the NSW central coast. Laith Alaid was reportedly swept out to sea while trying to cross the Entrance Channel on Sunday.
Emergency services were alerted to the area at around 2.30 pm after a body was discovered in the water.
Although the body has not been identified, the NSW Police said they believe it to be 11-year-old Alaid.
The search for the boy, which involved multiple agencies, lasted for three days.
He was reportedly with his siblings and father when they got into an accident while trying to cross the channel.
While the bystanders tried to help the family, the boy’s father was unable to reach him.
As a result, he was swept out to sea and disappeared.
