An Unforgettable Collaboration
This year, Myer’s iconic Christmas Windows are taking Australians on a thrilling journey with the one and only Wildlife Warriors, the Irwin family!
Titled ‘An Irwin’s Christmas Story’, the windows will transport you to the heart of the outback, blending holiday magic with the wonder of Australian wildlife.
A Magical Six-Part Journey
Follow Ace the Eagle as he embarks on an epic adventure across six enchanting scenes, featuring lifelike figures of Terri, Robert, and Bindi Irwin, along with a variety of adorable animals. You’ll feel like you’re right there with the Irwin family, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the Australian outback.
A Beloved Tradition Continues
The Myer Christmas Windows have been an integral part of Australian Christmas tradition since 1956. This year’s installation, masterminded by Creative and Technical Director John Kerr in his 31st year with the project, is a true masterpiece. With over 12 months of planning and preparation, the windows boast an impressive 50 animated actions, 30 distinct animal figures, and lifelike representations of the Irwin family, complete with custom-built animatronics and scenic elements.
“A Part of Our Aussie Holiday Season”
“We’re thrilled to partner with Australia’s favourite Wildlife Warriors, the Irwin family and Australia Zoo, to bring this magical experience to life,” said Geoff Ikin, Chief Customer Officer, Myer. “Our Christmas Windows are a treasured tradition that continues to captivate visitors from near and far, creating lasting memories and making Myer an unmissable part of our Aussie holiday season.”
Experience the Magic Up Close
To celebrate the launch of the Christmas Windows, Myer is hosting an exclusive activation on Level 6 in Mural Hall, featuring ‘Christmas at the Crocoseum’, a commissioned production from Terrapin Theatre Company based on the Australia Zoo Wildlife Warrior Show. Don’t miss out on this unforgettable event, running from Sunday, 17 November to Saturday, 5 January.
“Sharing Our Passion for Wildlife”
“We’re over the moon to see our family’s spirit and Australia Zoo come to life in Myer’s Christmas Windows!” said Terri Irwin. “This collaboration is a wonderful opportunity to share our passion for wildlife with the community and inspire a sense of wonder during the festive season. Through this captivating display, we hope to deepen people’s connection to the wonder of wildlife and wild places, while emphasising the importance of conservation.
