A devastating two-car collision in northern New South Wales has left one woman dead and two others injured, including a six-month-old baby.
The crash occurred on Friday morning on the New England Highway at South Guyra, approximately 40 kilometers north of Armidale.
The Crash Scene
The accident involved two SUVs, a Suzuki and a Hyundai, which collided around 10:30 am. Emergency services rushed to the scene, but tragically, the driver of the Suzuki, a woman in her 30s, could not be revived and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not been formally released.
Injuries and Treatment
The driver of the Hyundai, a 20-year-old woman, and a six-month-old baby, were treated by paramedics at the scene for minor injuries. They were later taken to Armidale Hospital for further treatment.
Investigation Underway
A crime scene has been established, and a report will be prepared for the Coroner. Investigators are currently working to determine the cause of the crash, and anyone with dashcam footage or information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
