A devastating workplace incident has claimed the life of a man in his 50s on a macadamia farm in Queensland.

The Queensland Ambulance Service treated the man at the scene, but his injuries were too severe. He was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a critical condition, where doctors fought to save his life.
