A devastating incident has shaken the community in Sydney’s west, leaving a family to grieve the loss of their beloved 4-year-old boy, Ace.
A Bright Light Extinguished
Ace was hit by a Ford Sedan on Glossop Street at St Marys on Monday. Despite the best efforts of paramedics, he sadly passed away en route to hospital.
The little boy was remembered by his family and friends as a “kind-hearted” soul who loved dinosaurs and cars.
Funeral Expenses Crowdfunding Campaign
A GoFundMe page has been set up by family friend Jo Blair to raise money for Ace’s funeral expenses. The campaign has already raised over $7,000, with the goal of easing the financial burden on the family during this difficult time.
“We are hoping to raise some money to assist them with the funeral costs and while the family grieve for this unimaginable loss,” Ms Blair wrote on the page. “His bright light will not be forgotten, and the world seems darker without him.”
Ace’s big sister, Ari, will especially miss her little brother, who was always the first thing on her mind when she woke up and the last thing she thought of before falling asleep.
Investigation Underway
The male driver involved in the accident was taken to Nepean hospital for mandatory testing. NSW Police have established a crime scene and are currently investigating the incident.
“A crime scene has been established, and police have commenced an investigation into the incident,” a statement by NSW Police said.
Our thoughts are with Ace’s family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. May he rest in peace.
