A man has lost his life in a horrific incident at a popular cliff in Ku-ring-gai Chase national park, near Sydney.
The 40-year-old man plunged 20 meters into the water from the top of the cliff, and despite efforts by emergency services, he did not survive.
What Happened
The incident occurred at around 12:30 pm on Friday at a picnic area in Duckholes Trail, Terrey Hills, about 30 kilometers north of Sydney. Emergency services rushed to the scene, and police were able to recover the man’s body from the water. However, he has not been formally identified yet.
Investigation Underway
A crime scene has been established, and investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. According to NSW Police, the incident is being treated as a “tragic misadventure”. Several ambulance crews, including intensive care paramedics, were dispatched to the scene, but unfortunately, their efforts were in vain.
