An Australian man has found himself at the center of controversy after posting a video of himself confronting a parking inspector and hurling a foul-mouthed insult.
The video, which has since been removed from TikTok but shared on other platforms, has sparked outrage among viewers who have condemned the man’s behavior.
The Incident that Started it All
Calum Fentie, the man in question, approached a parking inspector working for the Northern Beaches Council in Sydney and asked him what he was doing.
The inspector explained that he was issuing a ticket to a ute (utility vehicle) that didn’t have a parking permit or a ticket.

Fentie then asked the inspector if he had always dreamed of becoming the “world’s biggest f**kwit.” The inspector, understandably taken aback, told Fentie it was none of his business and walked away to continue his job.
Public Reaction: Outrage and Disgust
The video sparked a wave of criticism on social media, with many calling out Fentie for his abusive behavior. One commenter described him as an “A-grade peanut” and praised the inspector for handling the situation “beautifully.”
Others were more scathing, with one writing, “Guy’s just doing his job, camera guy’s a f***ing nob just bullying people.” Another commenter noted that parking inspectors have some of the highest rates of abuse in any workplace.
Fentie Fires Back, But Only Digs Himself Deeper
Fentie responded to the backlash by claiming he was “just joking” and that the footage was meant to be humorous.
However, his subsequent comments only seemed to inflame the situation further. He described those criticizing him as “pro-vax people… that are just pro-government” and claimed that if the inspector was worried about being called a foul name, he shouldn’t have taken the job.
Fentie also announced plans to seek out more parking inspectors and make similar videos, which only seems likely to escalate the situation.
A Bigger Issue: Abuse of Parking Inspectors
The Northern Beaches Council has weighed in on the incident, stating that verbal abuse is a daily occurrence for their parking inspectors.
A spokesperson emphasized that no one should face harassment or abuse while doing their job and that the council will take measures against those who engage in such behavior.
The incident highlights a larger issue of abuse and intimidation faced by parking inspectors and other public servants simply doing their jobs.
