A shocking attempted carjacking in St Kilda, Melbourne, has left a 39-year-old man with serious injuries.
The incident occurred on Sunday night, sending the community into a state of alert.

According to eyewitnesses, the victim was approached by two attackers – a man and a woman – who demanded he hand over his car keys.
When he refused, the man was allegedly hit in the head and slashed. The attackers then fled the scene, leaving the victim to be rushed to The Alfred Hospital with non-life-threatening upper body injuries.

The Port Phillip Crime Investigation Unit is now searching for the two suspects, and they’re urging anyone with information to come forward.
The male suspect is described as Caucasian, with brown hair and a distinctive blonde mullet, wearing a black jumper, pants, and runners.
The female suspect has dark hair, and was seen wearing black pants, a black puffer vest with the Hoodrich brand, and a white hoodie underneath.
