However, he was reportedly “badly winded” and taken to Orange Hospital for further observations.
The Cause of the Crash
The incident occurred when two-time Bathurst 12 Hour winner Kenny Habul attempted to pass Grove on the inside.
Habul later apologised for his role in the crash, saying he thought Grove was letting him through.
“I’m sorry for the incident with the Grove car, I know I was side-by-side,” he told the TV broadcast of the race.
“He slowed and moved over and I thought he was letting me through, so I’m really disappointed for them.”
No Penalty for Habul
Despite being involved in the crash, Habul did not receive a penalty.
The incident has left many fans wondering what could have been done to prevent the crash.
Thankfully, Grove’s injuries do not appear to be too serious, and he is receiving the medical attention he needs.
