A disturbing video has surfaced of an Adelaide mother storming into a classroom and threatening to harm a young girl.
The incident, which occurred at St Paul’s College in Gilles Plains, has left many shocked and questioning what could drive a parent to such extreme behavior.
The Tipping Point
In an emotional interview with 7News, the mother explained that she had reached a breaking point after her daughter had been bullied for over 12 months.
The final straw came when her daughter was told to “go and hang herself” by another student. The mother’s desperation and fear for her child’s safety led her to lash out in a shocking display of anger.
“I don’t want my daughter to be another statistic. I don’t want to have to bury my child,” she said, her voice filled with emotion.
“I went into survival mode, and protective mode. I did let loose, unfortunately, a side I don’t show very often. But that was a tipping point for that day.”
A Desperate Cry for Help
The mother claimed that she had tried everything to stop the bullying and had begged the school for help, but felt ignored. She alleged that the school had been negligent in their handling of the situation, and that her daughter’s mental health had severely declined as a result.
“I did everything in my power as a parent, and so did my husband, to make sure our daughter was safe, especially dropping her off at school,” she said. “The school has not done what they said they’d do. They have ignored all aspects of what we stated about the bullying with our daughter.”
The Incident and Its Aftermath
The shocking video of the mother’s outburst has been widely shared, and South Australia Police are currently investigating the incident. The student involved was not physically injured, but the mother’s actions have sparked a heated debate about parental behavior and school safety.
St Paul’s College has offered support to students who witnessed the incident, and principal Patrick Harmer has assured parents that the safety and wellbeing of students is the school’s top priority.
A Warning Sign for Parents and Schools
This incident serves as a reminder of the devastating consequences of bullying and the importance of schools and parents working together to create a safe and supportive learning environment.

What’s Next?
The South Australian government has recently introduced tough new laws targeting parents who engage in violent or intimidating behavior on school grounds. The legislation gives principals the power to ban parents from school grounds, and follows a dramatic rise in incidents involving parents.
As the investigation into this incident continues, one thing is clear: more needs to be done to support families and schools in preventing bullying and promoting a culture of respect and safety.
