A devastating incident has occurred in Western Sydney, where a baby has tragically passed away after being found unresponsive at a home in the outer west suburb of Whalan.
Emergency Response
Multiple police and ambulance units rushed to the scene on Goroka Street around 10am, following a report of concern for the baby’s welfare.
The NSW Police found the infant unresponsive and paramedics quickly took the baby to hospital.
Investigation Underway
Despite the best efforts of medical staff, the baby sadly passed away at the hospital.
The police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident, but at this stage, it is not being treated as suspicious.
A report will be prepared for the coroner to determine the cause of death.
