Taylor Swift’s appearance at Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans on Sunday didn’t exactly go as planned.
When she was shown on the Caesars Superdome jumbotron, the crowd erupted in a loud chorus of boos.
The pop star looked visibly nervous and confused, clearly not expecting such a negative reaction.
A Night to Forget for Swift
This isn’t Swift’s first Super Bowl appearance – she attended last year’s game in Las Vegas to cheer on her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
However, many NFL fans have been criticizing the constant display of Swift during broadcasts and on jumbotrons, dating back to last season.

It seems like the crowd at Super Bowl LIX was no exception.
The boos for Swift coincided with a similar reaction to the Chiefs team as they ran through the tunnel prior to the game.
Swift’s Football Roots – A Story of Loyalty and Love
Interestingly, Swift grew up as an Eagles fan in Pennsylvania, but she switched her allegiance to the Chiefs after starting to date Kelce last season.
It looks like the crowd in New Orleans wasn’t too happy about her change of heart.
On the other hand, the same crowd gave a loud cheer to President Donald Trump when he was shown on screen before the game.
A Tale of Two Reactions – Trump vs. Swift
The contrast between the crowd’s reaction to Trump and Swift is striking.
Trump, who was standing with New Orleans Saints owner Gayle Benson and his daughter Ivanka during the national anthem, received a loud roar from the crowd.
This is in stark contrast to Swift, who was booed relentlessly.
It’s worth noting that Swift had endorsed former Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 election, which might have contributed to the crowd’s negative reaction.
Trump had previously expressed his dislike for Swift on social media, and it seems like the crowd in the Superdome was on his side.
