Fabiola Alejandra Caicedo Piña, a 19-year-old TikTok star, was reported missing on June 7.
Tragically, her remains were found dismembered and stuffed into bags at a water treatment plant in Lima, Peru, on June 9.
A Life Cut Short: Fabiola’s Story
Fabiola, also known as “China Baby” on TikTok, was a popular content creator who often posted videos of herself dancing and posing.
Born in Barquisimeto, Venezuela, she moved to Peru with her 21-year-old boyfriend, Mayner Yoffrey Giménez Castrillo, in 2022 when she was just 16.
Mayner died under unclear circumstances in 2022, and Fabiola was accused of being involved in his death by his family. However, she was never investigated or charged.
The Investigation Unfolds
Police believe Fabiola was lured away from a party on the night before her death and was likely strangled before being dismembered.
Her remains were allegedly dumped into the Rímac River and ended up at the water treatment plant.
Authorities are still reviewing CCTV footage and gathering statements from those who knew Fabiola.
There have been no arrests yet, but local media reports suggest key breakthroughs are expected in the coming days.
