Olympian Leisel Jones has bravely shared her struggle with high-functioning depression and revealed the powerful three words that kept her alive when she felt like giving up.
In a heartfelt social media post, the three-time Olympic gold medal winner shared two photos – one of her tear-stained face, and another of her taking an hour-long walk on the beach, which changed her perspective on things.
“Stay Until Tomorrow” – The Three Words that Saved Her Life
These three words became her mantra when she felt like ending it all. “Yesterday was one of my worst days and I wanted to end it all,” she wrote.
“But I promise myself to just stay until tomorrow and it’s amazing what the next day can bring.”
Just 24 hours later, Jones had a far better day, proving that sometimes, all it takes is a fresh perspective to turn things around.
The Power of Vulnerability

Her celebrity friends, including Giaan Rooney, Dave Hughes, and Peter Helliar, also showed their support, sharing words of encouragement and personal anecdotes.
