The victim, 21-year-old Luke Manassa, was brutally attacked in the driveway of a home on Driftway Drive in Pemulwuy, at 10:45 pm on June 26.
A Night of Horror
Luke had just arrived at the home with his girlfriend, according to NSW Police, when the alleged attack occurred, leaving him with severe stab wounds.
Desperate Attempt to Save a Life
Luke managed to get into his car and drive a short distance before succumbing to his injuries, and despite paramedics’ best efforts to treat him, he could not be revived.
Arrests Made
Detectives have been working tirelessly to bring the perpetrators to justice, executing multiple search warrants at homes in South Penrith, Mt Druitt, and Woodcroft.
Charges Laid
A 17-year-old man was arrested from a home in South Penrith and charged with murder, while a 16-year-old male was arrested from a home in Mt Druitt and also charged with murder.
No Bail for the Accused
Both teenagers were refused bail and will appear in a children’s court today, facing serious charges for their alleged involvement in Luke’s tragic death.
