Twin Tragedy Unfolds in Inner Sydney
In a shocking discovery, the lifeless bodies of two men were found inside a home in Surry Hills, Sydney.
The police received a call around 2 pm on Thursday, following concerns for welfare, and arrived at the scene to find one body inside the house.
A crime scene was promptly declared, and a short while later, officers discovered a second body in another room.
The Victims
The two men are believed to be in their 70s and 80s, but their identities have not been confirmed.
According to detectives, the men died at different times within the past month, with police sources indicating that the deaths are not believed to be suspicious.
The Homeowner
Eleanor Barker, the owner of the home on Cleveland Street, Surry Hills, has spoken with detectives.
Neighbours have described her as a “quirky” and friendly woman, often seen visiting Sydney’s Wayside Chapel.
One neighbour recalled that she would “jazz up” her scooter, while another remembered her smile on the street.
